Through its research and teaching facilities, the University of Teramo aims at training highly specialised personnel for the food industry. Its graduates are future researchers and innovators in the food industry, able to promote food safety and functionality. The courses offered include: chemistry, microbiology, technology, agronomy and vegetable production, engineering, agro-alimentary economics, animal production and nutrition. The university's research facilities include science laboratories with modern equipment. Moreover, the university collaborates with a number of food production, storage and transformation companies in Italy and Europe, covering all phases of the production chain, "from farm to fork".
